Game Night (Day) Outfit - Red Wings v. Avs - 3/18/18
Avs taking on the Red Wings always makes for a fun, edgy game. Anyone who's an Avalanche fan knows the long standing rivalry between the two teams. One of my fondest moments working with the Avs, came from the NHL Stadium Series Alumni Game between the Red Wings alumni and Avalanche alumni. Growing up in Colorado, these guys were major celebrities and you were taught to hate the Red Wings! Well to this day, I can tell you, I'm not a fan of the red & white. Now onto the game day outfit.
It's Not About the Tag
Believe it or not this dress is from H&M maternity collection! No, no, I'm not preggers...I just saw it walking through their store one day, fell in love with it, bought it, then looked at the tag. Yep, H&M Mama Collection.
This proves the life long lesson that you don't need to pay attention to what's on the tag, whether it be the label, size, or collection. If you like it and it fits you well then who cares what's on the tag?!
The only downside to this dress being maternity is the extra fabric in the chest area. Obviously this a design built for a specific reason...not necessarily a reason I need with my body type! By adding a belt (Super cheap from Target!), I was able to tuck some of that extra fabric around to the side. Plus, I needed a pop of color.
Target does not have the hot pink version any more but they have a baby pink version that's just as cute! Check out the

Valentino Look-a-Likes
To match the hot pink belt I added, I figured some fluorescent pink heels would make for a nice selection.
I've featured these before up on the blog. I found these $34 heels at Angels in the Broomfield Flatirons Mall. If this happens to be the first time reading my blog, news flash...I'm obsessed with getting a good deal! I LOVE finding a cute outfit or accessory at a steal of a deal! Angels is definitely a winner when it comes to cheap, yet super cute shoes!
As I mentioned in my last blog post, it's SO important to try shoes on, especially heels. Walk around in them a little while still in the store. If they're super uncomfortable at that point, they're not going to get better with time. This really holds true for cheap shoes!
These heels are from the brand Wild Diva. You can always search them on
(my favorite re-sale app). I found a few different sizes available up on Poshmark for $15 - 20! If you're not familiar with Poshmark check out my previous blog post

Half Up Pony
This hair style is VERY unlike me. I went with a half up pony tail. I felt like a 10-year-old, but it was kind of fun and something different. Sometimes change is good. I recommend trying new styles, whether it be your hair, dress, or makeup. You never know what will click!
