Game Night Outfit - Blues v Avs - 11/30/18

Friday night lights and a rockin’ can, that’s what this game consisted of! (FYI: they call it the can because it’s the Pepsi Center, so it’s therefore the Pepsi can…get it? Don’t worry it took me a while to make that connection).

I did a surprise gender reveal on Friday, What?!?! That was so cool!! I was so nervous! You can’t mess something like that up!! Thank you to that sweet couple for letting me be part of that experience! They left their friend in charge of the gender reveal, he contacted our department, we picked them as “contestants” for a promotion. Little did they know, they weren’t doing a promotion at all, instead we were going to find out whether they were having a girl or boy! It was so much fun and definitely a first for me.

Any chance I can have to whip out those OTK red boots, I’ll take! These are definitely holiday season boots, but I’ll wear them as much as I possibly can! This was one of those outfits that was purely based around the boots. Sometimes if you want to wear a certain accessory or pair of shoes, start with them. Then work back from there, what color goes with them? What kind of cut looks good with them? You can essentially work backwards from one piece or accessory. I love doing this with shoes!

The black dress is a faux BB Dakota cut out dress. It’s a repeat from earlier this season, but you can always re-use a good LBD. Much like the tan shoes I talked about in my last two blog posts, you can have multiple within your wardrobe! I use all of my LBD’s just like I use all of my tan heels.

I remember reading a book written by Victoria Beckham and she stressed the importance of buying multiple colors of one item if it works for you. I couldn’t agree with her more! If you have an item in your wardrobe that just works for you, buy a few or buy it in different colors. When you’re confident with what you’re in, there’s nothing better!

The OTK (Over-The-Knee) boots are BP from Nordstrom. They were under $100 and completely fabulous. Invest in some good OTK boots! They are worth it!! I get so many compliments on these boots, sometimes it takes a little courage to wear something as loud as these, but just do it!! Be yourself! If you’re ever nervous about what you’re going to wear and need a little encouragement, message me, email me, dm me, I’ll be your supporter through and through!!

Accessories:

Gold hoops were in full effect, duh! I’m a hoop girl, what can I say? Many of you also know that I work for my family’s jewelry store in Boulder. I’m a huge watch geek. I love watches, specifically men’s watches. I have tiny doll hands/wrists but that never stops me from rocking a large men’s watch!

The watch I wore on Friday is one of my favorites. It’s an Omega Speedmaster that came out of our consignment case. (Come see me if you need a watch!!) We have some pre-owned watches and a variety of other Swiss watches in our store. I could really geek out on the details of this watch and others, I’ll spare the details here but maybe I’ll do a blog post about watches soon?! All in favor? Let me know!

That wraps up another game night outfit! The guys are out on a week long roadie. They won a rough battle against Detroit on Sunday, had a weird back and forth versus Pittsburgh last night and take on the Panther’s tomorrow! Tune in to Altitude at 5pm MST for the face off! Go Avs Go!
