Game Night Outfit - Avs v. Wild - 10/5/19

I have a strong hatred for the Wild. Yea, I said it. But, I also think if you are an Avs fan, this comes naturally much like our strong dislike for the Red Wings. It’s just fact.

Anyway, enough about my distaste for the Wild, let’s chat about my fun Saturday Game Night Outfit!

In true Nicole form, I took an otherwise plain outfit and threw a pop of flare in there.

Spanx Leggings

If you haven’t purchased your very own pair of Spanx leggings, what are you doing? Seriously, they’re the BEST thing in my wardrobe. I wear them for EVERYTHING. My favorites are the moto ones I wore for this Game Night Outfit. But, they come in a regular leather legging option as well as a new quilted style. They even have an animal print style now too (obviously a necessity).

I know they’re a little expensive, but TRUST ME, they’re worth it!!! Shop them all directly below.

White Deep V Neck

Basics are key in every wardrobe. I wear the heck out of my deep-v tees and tanks. I have a tendency to wear black, white or grey most days and I think it’s super important to have these colors readily available in a basic tee option. I got these from Amazon (They’re featured in my Amazon Try On Session #1 post coming soon). You can shop those options and some of my other favorites directly below.

Blazer

I have talked about my issues with blazers many times before on the blog. I am not a fan of shoulder pads, I know the 80s/90s are coming back, but I hate the way shoulder pads make me look. I think if you have a long, lean Gigi Hadid body, then duh, shoulder pads it is. But, for me, not so much.

I found this one on the clearance rack at TJ Maxx. This Theory blazer was originally $495. I walked out with it for $50. Guess it was my lucky day that day!

Manolo Blahnik Fluorescent Pumps

Let me start by saying, I’m the last person to spend an exorbitant amount of money on accessories or clothes in general. I like having a lot of options and frankly, my wallet does not allow for me to have a massive amount of options in an upper tier price range.

I bought these at a second hand store in Boulder called Common Threads. They were in excellent condition and honestly, I’ve never owned a super expensive pair of shoes before, believe it or not! They were a little over $150 which was a STEAL for these (they originally go for $650+).

I had to have these.

Much like jewelry, I believe that things are made to be worn. Even if they are on the higher end of price, what’s the point of them sitting on display somewhere?! Enjoy them, love them, wear them! Shop some used ones I found and the real deal below.

Jewels

Since the neon orange pumps were the star of the show here, I kept my jewel selection basic. With that being said, there was really nothing basic about big gold hoops and a diamond/gold Y necklace from Zoe Chicco. These two are staples for me. I think it’s important to have some nice easy go-to options that go with practically everything. They can become your quick grabs to elevate any outfit you have.
