Game Night Outfit - Avs v. Bruins - 10/10/19
I love theme games!! Thursday night’s Avalanche game was the “Grateful Dead Night” at Pepsi Center. Any excuse to dress up with a theme, I’m in!! Plus the Avs came back to win 4 - 2!
Grateful Dead Tee
Admittedly, I’m not a huge Grateful Dead fan. What I am a fan of is a cute graphic tee with their band name on the front.
This Chaser tank was purchased from Amazon (linked directly below). I LOVE this brand. They have the softest fabric and always cute designs.
Leather Skirt
Everyone needs a leather skirt in their wardrobe. Whether it be short or more of a pencil style, make sure you have one of these in your closet! This quilted one is from Forever 21. You don’t need to splurge big-time and buy real leather, just get one that fits you comfortably and voila! You can pair that with sweaters, tees, something fancier for work etc…!
Here are some of my favorites:
Red Buckle Shoes
I’m a big fan of standing out when it comes to my shoe collection. I loved how the orangish-red color brought out the accents in the gray tee.
When you’re putting an outfit together and want a pop of color, look for little ties like these two. The pinkish/red color in the skirt was certainly not overpowering but it made for a nice accent. Then when you incorporate the shoe color it pulls everything together and can make it pop!
Jewels
Hoops, hoops, hoops. I love my hoops. The key to successful hoops is their weight. I struggle to have something hanging off my ear that’s weighing my whole head down. Pick a pair that’s lightweight so you can wear them all night!
I love my watch. I rely on that thing big time, it’s not just a fashion accessory to me. But how great that you can incorporate a fashion accessory into something practical!
We’ve got another game tonight against the Arizona Coyotes! See everyone there! Go Avs Go!
Side Note
I also want to address a gentleman who approached me following the game at Pepsi Center. His remarks started out with, “Hey, you look terrible. Everyone in my section was making fun of you. That outfit looks dumb, just so you know…” he continued with some additional comments that were so rude and hurtful that I do not wish to repeat them on here.
Let me start by saying. I take a lot of pride in my outfits. I have so much fun putting them together and sharing the designs with you all. Secondly, the amount of positive feedback I receive from our fans means the world to me and I’m not about to let one person’s opinion ruin my day.
Remember, you’re not going to make everyone happy with your choices in life. If you can walk out of a situation or environment being proud of who you are and your actions, that’s all that matters. If we let other’s opinions and feelings completely control our actions we’d all be a mess and we most certainly wouldn’t have the courage to reach for our goals. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, when someone’s mean to you, don’t worry I’ve got your back!! I’ll always be in your corner and it’s important to feel that support when you’re being bullied. No need to focus on their cruelness, just remember that you’re crushing it! Focus on the positives, you’ve got this!
