Game Night Outfit - Flyers v. Avs - 10/6/18

We were flyin’ high after this game. Another 5-2 victory for the Avalanche felt really good to start out the season. I received a lot of love for my outfit last Saturday and I’m so excited to share the details with you. Scroll to the bottom of the page if you’d like to shop this look!

Hat

You all have heard me rave about Inspyre Boutique before, but seriously everything is under $100 and they have the best selection! I swear they’re not paying me, this is not an ad, I’m just a fan! TI purchased this cute faux suede hat from them and got SO many compliments on it.

As with any hat, try them on first, the smallest details on a hat can make it look great versus silly.

Top

H&M is the best. We’ve all heard of disposable clothing, which I’m totally a fan of, but this is not the category I’d consider H&M at. They have the same price as some “disposable clothing” options but the quality is great!!

Army green is my favorite color for blondes. I have a LOT of this color in my wardrobe. This chiffon style top has been in my wardrobe for quite some time. I love pairing a flowy top with fitted elements (i.e. leggings) If you do a baggy top with baggy bottoms you look like you’re swimming in them, or trying to be some NY Fashion Week model.

This top is also an excellent option for my everyday work style. H&M Is having a huge sale this week too with new markdowns up to 80% off through 10/21!!

Leather Jacket

This faux leather jacket is from…..wait for it…..H&M! I love it so much I went back and bought a second one so that I can rotate them and not wear them out too quick. I LOVE this jacket!!! The one thing I look for with a leather jacket is where it cuts and where the bottom of the jacket comes to. This version is the perfect combination of coverage without being too bulky. Believe me, I’ve spent hundreds of dollars on my Boda Skins real leather jacket, I’m not taking away from how much I love that puppy, BUT there’s no harm in having an easy, cheap, go-to option as well….or two.

Leggings

I spent more on these leggings than I should admit, but they’re amazing!!! They’re from Joseph Ribkoff, I purchased them from the cutest little boutique in the riverfront area downtown Denver, Sous Le Lit. They have been there forever and have some pretty incredible pieces in their collection. Plus their staff is so sweet which can make or break any shopping experience, am I right??

I love the mesh detail at the bottom of these leggings. Additionally, when looking at leggings, it’s SO important to make sure they’re not see-through. This is fine if you have a dress over the tush area, but with a higher look on the top, make sure you aren’t showing your goods too easily!!

Heels

Lace up army green heels to tie this outfit together? Yep, sign me up! I love these heels from Aldo. They bring a Jenny from the Block kind of feel to the outfit. The laces are such a cute extra detail! I feel like Aldo has gone away form these fun heel styles a little bit, BRING THEM BACK ALDO!

These heels have a busier style to them with the buckles, laces and strappy detail. I almost didn’t wear them due to the mesh of the leggings being so close to them, but felt like they didn’t clash too much. Keep in mind when picking out your shoe selection how busy they are. Super intricate heel styles look amazing as the stand-out of your outfit. You don’t need to over-detail your accessories if your outfit is busy already. Much like wearing a fitted bottom with a baggy top or vice-versa, keep the shoe selection in a similar frame of mind!

Jewels

The bigger the hoop, the bigger the….okay not really because I LOVE my 14k gold hoops from my jewelry store in Boulder. They’re my go-to pretty much every day. Yes, I need to switch it up but I love the way hoops look, especially with how much hair I’ve got going on at this point.
