Game Night Outfit - Avs v. Red Wings - 1/20/20

Only a few days late but we made it!! The final Game Night Outfit before All Star break is live! (Except that the All Star game has technically already happened, but oh well, at least we’re finally live!) In honor of Martin Luther King day we had a 1 o’clock game…on a Monday. This threw me off big time but none the less I was ready for an Avalanche win.

For this game, I wanted to wear something that was representative of our Avalanche colors. Most importantly I wanted to stay away from the white and bright red. We were playing the Detroit Red Wings…if you are an Avs fan you know we don’t like the Red Wings so much.

I had also made a recent trip to Free People, keep reading to see what I found and how I incorporated it for this GNO.

Black Top

This Free People top is one I could literally live in. I love waffle print shirts, and no one does it better than Free People. They’re always so soft and have flattering cuts to them. Below I tagged the one I was wearing for the game along with one of my other favorite Free People waffle print shirts I wear all the time.

Spanx

The quilted style is the newest release from Spanx in the leather leggings collection, and let me tell you…they’re worth every penny just like the other styles!! I love that the quilted version has the same cut as the moto ones but obviously the different pattern gives them a unique look. Highly recommend investing in a pair of these puppies.

Shoes

These Chinese Laundry booties have been on my feet daily. I had some Vince Camuto booties that I wore the heck out of, it was finally time to retire them. I’m so happy to replace them with these new gray suede booties from Chinese Laundry. I bought these on our trip to Vegas. Accessories

The goal was to make this outfit very “Avalanche-y”. How do you do that in an all black outfit?? Add some burgundy and navy accessories! This scarf is uber soft and can be worn a ton of different ways. I did a double wrap for my outfit but plan to wear it a bunch of different ways with other outfits!

Additionally, I mentioned making a recent Free People trip. I actually don’t think it’s possible for me to walk out of FP without buying another color of the Wythe hat. This gray one is the newest style to my collection…I have a few, but just like the Spanx leggings, they’re worth every penny!!
